Conference
Despite M/S Teaterskeppet having been in operation for over 30 years, our guests are often amazed by the large and spacious conference hall located on the lower deck.
With seating for 218 guests and advanced video technology that enables a unique visual setting, we offer visitors an engaging and inspiring conference experience.
Our conference hall works just as well while docked as when cruising. Comfortable seating arranged in 20 gently rising rows from the stage ensures excellent sightlines and acoustics, no matter where you are seated.
The stage features a large projection screen (over 3 metres wide!), and along the sides of the hall we can project images, videos, logos, or live presentations to frame your message and reinforce the atmosphere you want to create. This is achieved using six interconnected projectors that form a wide visual display covering much of the side walls.
If you need to divide your group into smaller sessions, our smaller dining room can accommodate up to 70 seated guests, while the main dining room is well suited for group discussions. Should additional breakout rooms be required, we have close cooperation with our neighbours at Sjöfartshuset and Hotel Reisen.

Moments we’ll never forget

During the planning of an event, we were once asked whether notepads and pens were available on board. We asked ourselves if they were really needed – too often, notepads end up as scraps of paper on the floor and are rarely used for actual note-taking.
Instead, we suggested bringing in a professional artist to take visual notes and create sketches throughout the conference, which were then shared with all participants. To take it a step further, her sketches were projected live onto the side walls of the venue.
The idea didn’t just result in beautiful notes – it also created a striking and creative visual setting for the seminar. A concept we truly enjoyed.
Black-out
We have listened to many remarkable speakers deliver powerful messages on our stage, and just when you think you have heard it all, it is topped by yet another story that truly resonates.
One such moment was when Fatmir Seremeti gave a lecture about goalball (football for the visually impaired). To reinforce his message, we completely darkened the venue (and yes, it was pitch black), allowing the audience to listen to his incredible story for 45 minutes.
For obvious reasons, we did not get a good photo from this occasion – so a black square will have to illustrate the experience.
Indian karaoke
We once hosted a large group from India who wanted to experience Stockholm from the water, visit Birka, and enjoy an early dinner. It was a perfect autumn day – bright sunshine and a pleasant 23°C.
The guides at Birka were ready to show the group around the island, but despite the beautiful late-summer weather, no one wanted to go ashore. When we discreetly asked the client what they would prefer instead, they wondered if it would be possible to arrange karaoke in the conference hall. Of course!
Our crew headed down into storage, dug out old wigs and other karaoke-friendly props, and the group ended up throwing an unforgettable spontaneous party on board.

Over the past 20+ years, we have hosted more than 2,500 events on board – ranging from breakfast meetings to full-day experiences in the archipelago. There is no standard template for our bookings; every event is tailor-made to suit your format and vision. And we never tire of it – we are convinced that there are at least 2,500 more unique events yet to be created, and we would be delighted to plan them together with you.
